Bonfire Community Rules

These rules apply to messages, profiles, uploads, livestreams, livestream chat, and custom bots.

No self-harm or harm

Do not encourage, promote, glorify, coordinate, or share instructions for self-harm or acts intended to harm another person.

Gore and graphic violence

Real-life gore or graphic violence is not allowed, including in livestreams. Anime and other fictional animated gore are allowed; we strongly recommend censoring it or clearly labeling it with a content warning before viewers see it. Sharing prohibited real-life gore results in a one-strike warning; repeated violations may result in suspension or a ban.

Adult sexual content (NSFW)

Consensual adult sexual content is allowed in clearly labeled, access-restricted 18+ spaces, including livestreams and voice calls. Everyone participating or depicted must be 18 or older (or the higher legal age where applicable), and everyone involved must consent. Do not expose this content in general or public spaces or make it accessible to minors. Non-consensual intimate content, sexual exploitation, and sexualized depictions of minors or anyone presented as underage are strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or a ban.

Protect minors

Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), sexual content involving anyone under the legal age, and sexualized depictions of minors are strictly prohibited. Do not create, request, share, or livestream it. Violations result in a permanent ban without a warning and may be reported to the appropriate authorities where required by law.

Appeals must not contain, link to, or re-upload the material. Appeals use fixed reason choices only—no written explanation, attachments, or links are accepted. The material itself must never be shown to admins or developers during appeal review.

No terrorism, threats, doxxing, or swatting

We believe in freedom of speech, but terrorism is not speech. Terrorism and any promotion, support, recruitment, glorification, or coordination of terrorist acts or organizations is not allowed.

Threats of any kind, including death threats, are strictly forbidden, as are doxxing (sharing someone's private or identifying information such as their address, phone number, or workplace without consent) and swatting (making false emergency reports to send authorities to someone). Violations may result in immediate suspension or a permanent ban without a prior warning, and may be reported to the appropriate authorities where required by law.

No bullying or harassment

Targeted bullying or harassment is not allowed. We normally issue a warning first and give the person a chance to stop; severe or repeated harassment may result in immediate suspension or a ban.

We normally warn people about rule violations and give them a chance to correct the behavior before banning them. Content may be removed. Severe violations, repeated behavior, or an urgent safety risk may warrant immediate suspension or a ban. Bots may also be revoked.

Custom bots and moderation

Bot requests need Bonfire admin approval. Every bot message stays private until an admin checks it for legal and policy compliance and approves it.
